Bearing use precautions

Bearings are precision components, but no matter how high-performance bearings are used, if they are used improperly, they will not get the desired effect. The use of bearings should be noted as follows:

1, keep the bearing and its surrounding environment clean

Even if the tiny dust invisible to the naked eye enters the bearing, it will increase the wear, vibration and noise of the bearing. Bearings and their surrounding accessories should be kept clean, especially dust and dirt, tools and working environment must also be kept clean.

2, the use of installation to be careful

It is not allowed to force stamping, it is not allowed to hit the bearing directly with the hammer, and it is not allowed to transfer pressure through the rolling element.

3. Use appropriate and accurate installation tools

Try to use special tools and avoid things like cloth and staple fibers.

4. Prevent corrosion of bearings

When taking the bearing directly by hand, it is necessary to fully wash the sweat on the hand and apply high-quality mineral oil before operation, and pay special attention to rust prevention in the rainy season and summer.

However, under some special operating conditions, the bearing can obtain a longer life than the traditional calculation, especially in the case of light load. These special operating conditions are when the rolling surface (track and rolling element) is effectively separated by a lubricating film and limits the possible surface damage caused by contaminants. In fact, under ideal conditions, the so-called permanent bearing life is possible.
